Certificate of last will

If the death certificate request is to manage the inheritance, you will need the certificate of last will. This document certifies whether a person has made a will and in which Notary the said will is located. With this document, the heirs can go to the notary to obtain an authorized copy of said will (the last one made).

Certificate of insurance contracts with death coverage

The certificate of insurance contracts with death coverage certifies the current contracts (sometimes unknown) in which the deceased person appeared as the insured and with which insurance entity. It is necessary for possible beneficiaries to claim from the insurance entity the benefit derived from the contract. The data in the Insurance Contracts Registry with Death Coverage is available for 5 years from the date of death.

International authentication of the document

If you are carrying out a procedure outside of Spain, you may be required to legalize the foreign documents you present. This procedure can be processed through this same application for many countries that offer the Hague Apostille. Documents with a Hague Apostille are recognized in any other Hague Apostille Convention country without the need for any other type of authentication. View list of Convention countries
