Certificate of last wills

If the death certificate request is to manage the inheritance, you will need the certificate of last wills. This document certifies whether a person has made a will and with which Notary that will is lodged. With this document, the heirs can go to the notary to obtain an authorised copy of that will (the last one made).

Certificate of insurance contracts with death cover

The certificate of insurance contracts with death cover certifies the current contracts (sometimes unknown) in which the deceased person was insured and with which insurance company. It is necessary for potential beneficiaries to claim the benefit derived from the contract from the insurance company. The data in the Register of Insurance Contracts with Death Cover are available for 5 years from the date of death.

International document authentication

If you are carrying out a procedure outside of Spain, you may be required to legalize the foreign documents you present. This procedure can be processed through this same application for many countries that offer the Hague Apostille. Documents with a Hague Apostille are recognized in any other Hague Apostille Convention country without the need for any other type of authentication. View list of Convention countries
